ANU Orchestra in Concert

Join the ANU Orchestra in Concert at Llewellyn Hall

Conducted by Max McBride, the Orchestra will play a program of:

Mozart- “ Marriage of Figaro “ Overture

Mozart- Concertone in C major KV 190

Grieg - Lyric Suite op.54

Sibelius- Finlandia. Op.26

The Concertone uses soloists from within the orchestra- 2 violins, oboe and cello and is a rarity, seldom performed but typical of his Salzburg style and influence of such local composers as Michael Haydn, Josef Haydn’s younger brother.

For the Mozart works our trumpeters will be playing instruments of the period.
